Together with her raiding guild, she's tasked with bringing down the Orc shaman and leader of the Shadow Wolves, Warchief Zugtrok. What Darya doesn't know is that beneath the surface of the fictional Theadrath lies a realm that's all but imaginary, including the fearsome raid boss.

Wounded in battle and pushed through a tear in the fabric of reality, Warchief Zugtrok finds himself in a strange world and face-to-face with the gamer and her feline companion. Desperate to find his way back to his daughter, defeat the Ancient One who cursed his brother and save his kin, Zugtrok promises Darya three handfuls of his riches and an adventure of a lifetime if she helps him search for clues in Reign Online to make his return to Theadrath.

As days turn into weeks, Darya learns that the stoic, gentle raid boss isn't at all like the monstrous villain the game portrays him to be—and that she might just be falling for him.
